I've stayed at the Yotel and quite liked it. Think of the room as a very well put-together cruise ship cabin -- which is to say, everything is tiny, but the use of space is very good. I note that I was travelling solo, and just for a few days. If you're cramming more people in the room (with a lot more stuff), it may get cramped. Also, there is a downside to being a pod hotel, which is that it is considered hip (to some degree) and it is therefore very popular. The result is that its prices go up -- to the point where you can sometimes get a larger room someplace else for a better price.
