When I decided to see the Shakespeares again, I sat up there. It is what it is. The renovation made everything new but it did not magically transport the balcony to the mezzanine level so you are still watching the show from "on high." The rake doesn't bother me, but like the cheap seats in many venues, some people don't like that.
