| PRODUCERS BEN SPRECHER & LOUISE FORLENZA ANNOUNCE THAT RIGHTS ARE NOW EXTENDED THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2014 FOR THE BROADWAY PRODUCTION OF Rebecca Production eyeing winter 2014 start (New York, NY: January 21, 2014) Lead producers Ben Sprecher and Louise Forlenza, announced today that REBECCA, the musical based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier, has officially extended its rights through December 31, 2014 and is eyeing a Winter 2014 start. They are now joined by Co Producers Steven Colson, Peter Bezemes and Barbara Sellinger, along with the previously announced co-producers, who all remained committed to the project. REBECCA's previous delay was initially the result of the fraud perpetrated by Mark Hotton (who is now serving time in jail) and then, more damagingly, the consequence of anonymous and malicious e-mails that were revealed to have been sent by the show's previous press agent Marc Thibodeau to a new investor who was replacing a major portion of Hotton's investors. Thibodeau's emails, which were sent as recently as three days before rehearsals were to begin, resulted in the new investor's abrupt withdrawal and the delay of the show in the Fall of 2012. A civil litigation against Thibodeau and unnamed others remains pending and is scheduled to be ready for trial in the middle of 2014. On January 17, 2014, Thibodeau withdrew his countersuit against the musical. REBECCA features original book and lyrics by Michael Kunze, music by Sylvester Levay, English book adaptation by two-time Tony Award winner Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard), English lyrics by Hampton and Kunze, and direction by Tony Award winner Michael Blakemore (Kiss Me, Kate; City of Angels; Noises Off) and Francesca Zambello (Little Mermaid). Multiple Tony-nominated director/choreographer Graciela Daniele (Ragtime) will create the musical staging for the show. Scenic design is by Peter J. Davidson, costumes by Jane Greenwood, lighting by Mark McCullough, sound by Peter Fitzgerald, hair & wig design by Tom Watson and special effects by Gregory Meeh and projections by Sven Ortel. Musical direction and supervision is by Kevin Stites. REBECCA is a spectacular new musical drawn from the classic Daphne du Maurier novel about love and obsession reaching from beyond the grave. In this romantic thriller, Maxim de Winter brings his new wife ("I") home to his estate of Manderley. There she meets the intimidating housekeeper Mrs. Danvers, who had a very special relationship with Maxim's first wife, the beautiful Rebecca, who died a year earlier in a boating accident. The young woman discovers Manderley is a house of devastating secrets, and the mystery of Rebecca may be the greatest of them all as she finds the strength to challenge Mrs. Danvers and save her marriage. REBECCA had its world premiere in 2006 at Vereinigte Buhnen Wien in Vienna, where it played to sold-out houses for over three years. It continues with successful productions in Budapest, Hungary; Bucharest, Romania; Helsinki, Finland; Stuttgart, Germany; St. Gallen, Switzerland and at the Imperial Theatre in Tokyo, and with a scheduled opening in Copenhagen in March 2014. | |

| This press release is hilarious. It's everyone's fault but Ben Sprecher's that the Rebecca producers threw good investor money after bad down the sewer. Ben, I assume you wrote this yourself? | |

| By this point, the drama surrounding the show NOT making it to Broadway is MUCH better, I'm sure, than anything in the show itself. I think Rebecca itself is one big anticlimax now. | |

| So, having nothing better to do besides watch the snow come down, I searched around for a production of Rebecca in Copenhagen. I cannot find anything advertised on the internet. I could burn some frequent flyer miles and go see the show in two months. Does it actually exist anywhere? Chat Friends in Europe, any word? | |

| I actually posted a comment on the article about this. The production is not in fact in Copenhagen but rather in Malmo which is right across the bridge in Sweden. The opera/musical theatre company that is producing it is solid. The show opens in February and I believe runs through mid-April. If you do go, you can catch both Rebecca in Malmo and Evita in Copenhagen at Det Ny Teater, which does excellent work. Additionally the Malmo Opera in conjunction with the Malmo City Theatre is presenting a small version of Cabaret during the same time. Should be a fun trip. Hope this helps. Ty | |

| Why would any of the theatre owners tie up a theatre - again - for this show. Or why would an actor. Yes they geta few $, but on top of everything else - how can you trust a producer who has already shown such terrible lack of judgment - twice? And on a show which is a great show in Europe - or Vienna - but a really mediocre show by Broadway standards. I dont mean our standards are higher - ts just the kind of angsty Euro-Pop musical which has never been a bit in an English language country. RIP Rebecca. | |

| I don't see where any theatre owner or actor has committed to anything. The only commitment I see is that the rights holders have agreed to grant these worthless rights to Ben for another period of time. I think anyone is such circumstances would take even a nominal option payment from him. The only thing really whack is who are these new people who have presumably an aversion to their money. | |

| She sang on "Get Smart" if I recall when Agent 99 undertook a Marlene Dietrich-type assignment. Feldon was always very sexy and gave off very smart vibes too. (Oh, as Maxwell Smart would say "Sorry about that!") | |
