| THE OFF BROADWAY ALLIANCE presents 20at20 January 21 to February 9, 2014 THREE NEW SHOWS ADDED 51 Off Broadway shows offer $20 Tickets 20 minutes before curtain. The Off Broadway Alliance is pleased to announce that it has added three exciting new shows to its 20at20 ticket promotion whwich begins today, January 21st and continues through February 9th, 2014: Cuff Me: The Fifty Shades of Grey Musical Parody, Kidrockers featuring Caveman and The Pizza Underground (Macaulay Culkin + Friends) and Philosophy For Gangsters. With the addition of these three shows we now have a record breaking 51 show options for audiences to choose from. Peter Breger, Chairman of the non-profit Off Broadway Alliance said: “This is an extraordinary year for Off Broadway and 20at20 provides a great opportunity to see all sorts of wonderful shows that should not be missed. CSC is offering A MAN’S A MAN, the Bertolt Brecht farce with new music by Duncan Sheik, the award-winning composer of Spring Awakening. If you missed Carol Lawrence in the original production of West Side Story (in 1957!), you can catch her in the hilarious new production of Handle With Care at The Westside Theatre. If you want to take the kids out for a good time, you can introduce them to The Amazing Max or The Gazillion Bubble Show or Angelina Ballerina. And there’s the sexy and naughty new vaudeville/burlesque/circus/variety mash-up La Soiree, but don’t take the kids to that one. Then there are the classics with a twist – the amazing and critically acclaimed revivals of Hamlet and St. Joan presented by the daring and innovative Bedlam Theatre. There are also wonderful revivals of shows you don’t always get to see: Loot at the Lucille Lortel and the Transport Group’s Almost Maine. It would be hard to make decisions with the great list of shows offered this year, but at $20 a performance, you can just go see them all. And if you see seven shows this time, we’ll buy you a dinner!” All 20at20 ticket sales are cash only. For a complete list of participating shows and venues see below or visit www.20at20.com. 20at20 is presented by The Off Broadway Alliance (OBA), a non-profit corporation organized by theater professionals dedicated to supporting, promoting and encouraging the production of Off Broadway theater and to making live theater increasingly accessible to new and diverse audiences. The Alliance holds monthly meetings and membership is open to everyone in the Off-Broadway theater community. Among its initiatives, The Off Broadway Alliance sponsors a free Seminar Series focusing on the culture, business and history of Off Broadway featuring major players from the Off Broadway scene. And the OBA created the Off Broadway Economic Impact Report, which details Off Broadway's over $500 million annual impact on the economy of the City of New York." 20at20 is presented with additional support from Playbill, BroadwayBox.com, BestOfOffBroadway.com, TheProducersProspective.com, BroadwayInsider.com, Did TheMenEvent.com and 8Coupons.com.
