First of all, I do not think that this will be a straight rental; I believe the comment simply means that there is commercial participation putting up the money (something that happens very often, e.g., at LCT). Secondly, if it were a straight rental, that does not have any effect of the NFP status. NFP's can and frequently do engage in profit making enterprises. The only issue is that they may have to pay tax on the income. But I suspect that this will be structured in such a way that they do not.

I am trying to think of an example of the Public renting out space for a commercial production, and I come up empty. Obviously, many other NFP's do it all the time.
