I've always wondered why they picked the Broadway, a theatre that is surprisingly cavernous (particularly if you're seated upstairs). I don't know if this had to do with lack of other options, but it has seemed from the start that the producers thought they had a bigger event on their hands than they actually did. If they were in the Neil Simon or the Stephen Sondheim, they would look more outwardly successful, considering that they have consistently attracted a strong, but not huge, audience.

Of course, we are also getting into one of those periods where a lot of long-running shows are taking up the big and even medium sized musical houses, not leaving many options.
