Ok, forgive me for shrieking like a tweenager going to her first Justin Beiber concert, but I'm very excited about Hunchback. I'm not a huge fan of the animated movie, but I've always wanted to see the stage production since it's German premiere many years ago.

The recording, Der Glockner von Notre Dame, while I don't understand a lick of German, is really thrilling. When I got it, I pretty much listened to it non-stop for weeks.

The stage show returns to the darker themes of the novel excised from the Disney movie to make it more kid-friendly.

I'm so there this fall and really look forward to seeing it.

I saw the Berlin production and really enjoyed it, especially that it hewed closer to the book's action. Definitely a more mature Disney show. Will look forward to seeing it in La Jolla.

I also had the CD of "Der Glockner von Norte Dame" and I played it to "death". Love that score.

I also saw another version of "hunchback" in Las Vegas. I was impressed by that version also.
