Richard quotes Ross Valley Players' press release saying this is the first west coast production of the 1928 play Journey's End. Is this really true or just press release puffery?

I find it hard to believe that it wasn't produced somewhere in San Francisco or Los Angeles in the late '20s or since. According to Wikipedia, sourced from playwright R.C. Sherriff's autobiography, it was a big success and by late 1929 there were 14 different English language productions around the world. And according to IMDB, the 1930 film version was made in Hollywood.
