ATC Bay Area theatre outing, April 14 matinee?

Posted by: BillEadie 05:20 pm EST 02/06/14

Since I will be visiting from San Diego then (going home on a 10:55pm flight from SFO) it would be fun to go to the theatre with any chatterers who might be interested. I'm looking at afternoon/early evening shows on April 14 in theatres reachable by public transit, and here's what I've found, in no particular order, that interest me and have Saturday afternoon performances (two in San Francisco, and two on the Peninsula):

Painting the Clouds With Sunshine
Music & Lyrics by Harold Arlen, Richard Whiting, Yip Harburg, Ralph Rainger, Johnny Mercer, Harry Warren, Cole Porter & Others
Book by Greg MacKellan & Mark D. Kaufmann
World premiere musical at 42nd Street Moon, with a performance at 6pm.

Bauer
Written by Lauren Gunderson
Directed by Bill English
World premiere play at SF Playhouse, with a performance at 3pm

Game On
by Dan Hoyle and Tony Taccone
directed by Rick Lombardo
World premiere play at San Jose Rep (downtown and reachable from the Caltrain station), with a performance at 3pm

The Hound of the Baskervilles
By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Adapted by Steven Canny & John Nicholson
Directed by Robert Kelley
Regional premiere at TheatreWorks with a performance at 2pm (TheatreWorks is walking distance or a short bus ride from the Mountain View Caltrain station)

Anyone want to express interest in getting together and a preference for which show we see?

Bill, in San Diego

A San Francisco show works best for me.

I have one vote for Bauer, and three who say in private email they can't make it. One says that he can possibly join us afterward.

Anyone else? Three/four would be great, but more would be even better.

If you want to communicate privately see my email address in one of the messages below.

I wouldn't be able to join you for a show as I'm at the Ballet all day. However, I have a break so could meet you for a meal aka late lunch/early dinner. Have to be back by 6:30.
