I liked "Sonya,Vonya" more than the reviewer, but it's nice to read a well written dissent. Perhaps the problem is expectations: this is a funny, but flimsy, show. Like most of Durang's stuff. Hard to imagine that it won a Tony. Definetly agree about Kirsten Nielsen. Terribly mannered and not all that funny. Doesn't hold a candle to other, older funny ladies: Madeline Kahn, Terri Garr, Dyan Cannon.
