Need SD Recommendations

Coming to San Diego for March Madness March 20-24. Would like some theater or other arts on off days (Thursday, Saturday, Monday). Any recommendations? The large theaters seem to be dark.

Yes, you're hitting town at an in-between time when not much is playing. Look maybe for David Ives' School for Wives to extend at North Coast Rep. Excellent cast and NCR does farce quite well. Ion is doing a double bill of Edgar and Annabelle and Far Away that could be intriguing. Lamb's is opening Quilters in Coronado and will probably move The Foreigner to its Horton Grand Space. If La Jolla Playhouse extends The Who and the What into your stay I'd see that show for certain. Cygnet is "re-thinking" Spring Awakening, but I don't know what that means. The opera is doing the Verdi Requiem, but it's officially sold out. The Welk has a dandy production of Anything Goes that will be in its final performances, if you're in the mood to drive out there.
