On the flip side, in London, if a single seat is returned to the box office at the last minute, they will sometimes sell that seat for a very low price. I saw "Once" for 19 pounds (about $30) from center orchestra this past summer when I bought a single seat that afternoon. Regular price was something like 60 pounds.
