I saw it this weekend. Brought my daughter and grandchildren- 14 and 11. We sat in the balcony and had a great time. So did everyone around us. Definitely not only for children. Plenty of funny wisecracks. Several of the production numbers were fabulous. The magic carpet ride was absolutely beautiful. The Genie(James Monroe Iglehart) stole the show. I predict a Tony for his performance, it was that good. Adam Jacobs as Aladdin and the rest of the cast held their own. Not easy against the Genie. A couple of slow love scene numbers in the first act. They could be cut a bit. The show doesn't need any filler. There were special effects but hopefully not the sort that will see so many performers injured as in Spiderman. We were out of the theater and on the street at 10:35pm. That's after huge ovations for a couple of production numbers that stopped the show. Since they listed that the show was 2hrs and 45 minutes I think that must mean they are still cutting. Started 8pm.
