I think Neil Patrick Harris has an excellent shot at leading actor. I love Hedwig and would love for it to win. (Frankly, I am of the opinion that the rule about previous productions is silly-if it's never been on Broadway, it's a NEW musical. That said, it kind of favors Hedwig to be in revival-Cabaret is a re-mounting (exactly) of the previous production, and while Les Miz is a popular piece, it is the tour production, basically. So, I think Hedwig could come up with some wins.) That said, I also think it's unfair that it shouldn't be eligible for best book or score-it's never been on Broadway and for that reason should be eligible. (They made changes to the book from what I've read. I wouldn't be surprised if they deem it eligible for book, and MAYBE score-and it could easily win BOTH.)
