James is from my area of the country, and while I never got a chance to work with him we have dozens of friends in common and I've seen him in lots of shows. James is a miracle. Built like a linebacker, but moves like a dancer. I remember seeing him as Coalhouse Walker Jr., and wondering how well he'd move in "Gettin' Ready Rag" - then he dropped into splits and bounced right back up, and I stopped being concerned. This is what he does, and he's spectacular at it.
