I am a huge fan of the Jeanette MacDonald-Nelson Eddy version of NEW MOON, because of its over the top romanticism and it's incredlbly beautiful black-and-white lush-budget production qualities. I know it's quite different from the show, but the melodies are well-served and it never fails to capture my attention when I watch it.
