It really does seem odd at least from this distance. It must have been due to money. These things always are. However, i have never read or heard what I consider to be a definitive explanation. There must be one. I mean, we all know there were big problems with Fosse and Ostrow and Hinson and, well, everyone.
But cash is cash. I never understood the bus and truck thing…not that the subsequent tour production was all that great. But that is just my opinion of a musical I don't really care for anyway. That little snark being said. I really think it important to discover what occurred.
