The question was something like "was mentored by Oscar Hammerstein, has 3 Grammy, an Emmy, an Oscar and the most Tony awards for a composer".

While the champ won again tonight, he not only missed the final Jeopardy question as well as another daily double, plus a ballet question (to which he named an opera), among a few other misses; maybe he's getting tired.

The champ tries to get to all daily doubles first and goes from one category to another to try to confuse his competitors. A friend of mine was on the show and a lot of it is the timing of when to ring in with your buzzer. You have to wait until Alex Trebek says the end of the last syllable of the last word or you are locked out for a few seconds if you come in too early.

But yeah, Alan Menken was a curious guess. One of the other guys did get Sondheim though.
