Wow, what a statement. I'm sorry this has been your experience. It certainly hasn't been mine. I find "arty" people no more those things than non-arty people, and I find the majority of "arty" people vastly more tolerant of those not like themselves than the majority of non-arty people. Either way, I think it's a pretty bold statement and not accurate as a rule.
