I was tired and cranky when I posted that. I would still maintain some truth in my statements, but not the tone. I do think many people in the "art" community are very condescending to those who aren't arty, and have over inflated egos, in a way that farm people I grew up with aren't and don't. Certainly not everybody, but more than in the general population. I took a little offense to the notion Keikekaze suggested that non-arty people are "in the dark." That's both an untrue and a willfully ignorant statement.
