I lost track of the number of times I saw this when I was barely a teenager. It was a wonderful, charming production at the Broadhurst - with some of the best choreography in town (and, yes, I know Hello Dolly was playing across the street). Tommy Steele was all charm and carried the show on his shoulders. He could not be topped. I wore out the OCR.
