i just don't think people pick shows on price

we all like a discount, but i don't see people walking into the boxoffice lobby and looking at the price scale and saying--let's go down the street to the other show to see if it cheaper. I'm surprised more people don't use the discount codes when i'm standing on line at the boxoffice. I think the gimmick for $76 would work for a week or two, but would ultimately backfire since the discount codes and tkts have to be less. And even at TKTS--do people pick a show because it is 50% discount over a show that is 40% discount---it seemed that most people on the play line were still picking All the Way (at 40%) over other shows at 50%.

Rocky attendance has dropped almost 10% from 86% with 6 performances to 78% for 8. But the overall number of seats sold is 1500 more for the two week comparison--which basically accounts for the 2 performance difference.

I think i read that Rocky cost $14M (same price as Matilda), unless those grosses go consistently above $1M, there is no hope of recouping.
