i found that eye rolling. But it would be hard to do it full speed and make it look credible on stage--since movies are edited to look more real time even though filmed over hours.

I've enjoyed the Rocky movie and seen it a few times over the years (probably been a decade since i last saw it). Sly was very charming in it.

As for Bridges--there are some beautiful songs in there and i was ok with the guitar scene--not as much with the people milling around or the random chairs on stage. If this was the out-of-town tryout, i would say they need some more editing to get rid of fat--like the focus on the kids at the end. Unfortunately, this is the opened show and it still needs some work. I think the real problem in the future is the leads---keli and Stephen have fantastic (and rare) state chemistry--totally believable and i don't know will a replacement cast, tour cast or regional theater ever capture it as well and that is the selling point of the show. Without that chemistry, this could be a very dull mess. There's no spinning fight ring to distract one's eye.
