I actually do have a turntable, but it takes up too much space to keep it connected to my receiver on an every day basis. And not every record has better sound than the CD version.

I agree that many young people love vinyl, but your phrase "real resurgence" is perhaps a bit of an overstatement. The two young people I know who love vinyl the most have such busy lives that they seldom have time to listen to music and completely concentrate ONLY on the music.
