preview buyers are whole different breed. those folks know about discount codes. my guy in queens, not so much. are there a ton of these guys? no. but an untapped market is still an untapped market and how do you know how big it is until you try? i'm talking about a kind of clean up deal at the end of the run. you've had your preview folks, had your manhattan audience, you've had your tourists. now do a kind of clean sweep of folks who normally wouldn't come to the theater and i think you could get them and a lot of repeat business as well as folks like me who have no interest in the title and have been scared of by word of mouth but who would still check it out for the right (really right) price. i just don't see why this wouldn't work but assume there must be a reason since no one has tried it.
