Another one by ALW and Rice - the beginning of the verse to "Jesus Christ Superstar" ("Every time I look at you" etc) also happens in the Last Supper scene, way before the full song at the end of the show. (And on another note, how many of you know that the melody of the refrain of "Jesus Christ Superstar" was actually recycled from an early version of Joseph?)

Also, Gypsy - the opening Bowery Waltz-ish "May We Entertain You" makes way for "Let Me Entertain You" as sung later by Baby June and eventually Gypsy Rose Lee.

And, not a "hit song" situation, but one example of where a moment like this is actually labelled a "pre-reprise" in the score - in Honk, where Ida sings a "pre-reprise" of the standout song "Different" just as Ugly's egg is about to hatch. (Ugly, of course, sings the actual song later on.)
