Mothers and Sons is not to be missed. Tyne and the company are extraordinary in a play that will be talked about for years to come. The audience around me loved every minute of it, as did I. It's a special piece and there's good reason for the buzz. It's an exceptional night in the theatre. McNally's best in a long, long time. Bravo to everyone involved. Not a dry eye in the house when I saw it but very funny as well. For what it's worth, for men of a certain age it will pack a particular wallop. Haven't been so moved in the theatre in many, many years.
