The show's music was very enjoyable and pleasant to hear during the show. Mr. Lutvak, the composer, didn't go all Jerry Herman and reprise the numbers all over the place or necessarily go for catchy tunes. But if I heard the recording a few times, I'd probably be reminded that I liked the score quite a lot, and would start to remember the tunes and some of the lyrics. I suppose if he had wanted to, he could have had a huge musical number like another English-set musical "Walking Happy" and spent about 10 minutes making it into a big production number. But "A Gentleman's Guide" has a lot of murders and more plot to get through with, so I guess they dispensed with that. Btw, I do love the title number of "Walking Happy". :)
