In that the term "allegro" is an abstract term of art, it doesn't necessarily "sell" the show. (I felt the same way about Richard Greenberg's "The Assembled Parties"--when I saw it, I really enjoyed it and was moved by the writing and the acting, but had a difficult time retaining the title in my head when I wanted to tell people about it). But "Allegro" may have been a term that was part of more people's active vocabulary when the show was first done. I felt the same way about the title "Passion"--particularly as it didn't feel passionate to me.
