Of course both MY FAIR LADY/PYGMALION and PRETTY WOMAN is more about the lady making over the gentleman and not so much the other way around. Sure, on the surface Higgins and Richard Gere dress their Eliza up in pretty clothes and refine her speech but, in the end, it's the Higgins character that undergoes the more surprising transformation. To me, THAT is what makes the story so rich.
