I saw the show tonight from house left, but it didn't strike me that sitting there is any better than sitting house right or vice-versa, nor can I understand why anyone would say one is better than the other.

In act 2 there is an actor who gives one of the best speeches of the night which is not on stage but has the best viewing if you are sitting house left. I don't want to spoil who the character is but I thought it was a real highlight.

Oh, right, I was thinking about the action on stage. That actor does most of that speech from a box, but then he walks down to the stage while still speaking.

Fwiw, I was almost extreme house right and had no trouble viewing that scene at all. If anything, the proximity made it a bit more thrilling.
