Davenport email blast--when tickets go on sale

Posted by: dramedy 11:47 pm EDT 03/12/14

He had an interesting fact in his email blast yesterday. For every 5 weeks a show is on sale on line and phone, the union requires boxoffice personnel to be paid an extra week--I assume that dictates when boxoffice opens before first preview I remember years ago when I would buy a show almost a year in advance like sunset boulevard and victor/Victoria. I've noticed over the years that it has dropped to a few months in advance and I guess that's why.

The rest of the email was about allegiance selling up the $5 presale notice to get an idea of the interest in the show without selling tickets to invoke union rules.
