OFF-BROADWAY'S SMASH HIT COMEDY

HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER

PUTS NEW BLOCK OF SEATS ON

SALE THROUGH LABOR DAY 2014!

Due to overwhelming demand, the producers of Off-Broadway’s hit comedy HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER today put a new block of seats on sale through Labor Day. Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER began performances August 22, 2012 at Sofia’s Downstairs Theater where the show played to packed houses for more than a year. The production reopened on October 19, 2013 to unanimous rave reviews at the brand new Screening Room Theater at Planet Hollywood Times Square, 1540 Broadway (entrance on 45th Street just east of Broadway).

The Planet Hollywood edition of HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER introduced a bounty of new material including the hilarious new sketch, “Real Housewives of the Upper East Side.” HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world with actors, comedians and licensed tour guides Ms. Copeland and Mr. Doyle as they play over 60 characters. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this “Saturday Night Live” style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and even cruelly maligned pigeons all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How to Be a New Yorker.

The playing schedule for HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is Fridays and Saturdays at 7 PM. Dinner is served at each performance with a delicious menu, catered by Buca di Beppo, consisting of House Salad, Spaghetti Marinara, Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, and Cookies & Brownies. Tickets are $59 (including the full buffet) and are available by calling 212-352-3101 or through www.How2BaNewYorker.com.
