Matthew Murray takes a look at Rocky: When, toward the end of the new musical Rocky, at the Winter Garden, a television announcer describes what we've just witnessed as "the greatest exhibition of stamina and guts ever seen," it's difficult to disagree. Yes, he's technically referring to the epic 15-round boxing match between world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed and "Italian Stallion" Rocky Balboa, and that is indeed arresting. But he could just as easily have been describing the show itself. . . .
