The director acknowledges the Transport Group's production and notes how this one is not the same.

but it sounds pretty much the same. I was wondering if anyone had seen both. As much as a director says it's not the same, it seems pretty similar.

He never says he SAW the NY production - I'm not sure if he did or not. (He's a former student of mine.) He's doing the show with 6 actors instead of 10, so that's a big change from previous productions. Knowing him as I do, I would expect he's doing his own work, not repeating someone else's.
