Well we can only hope that FUN HOME and other great shows will be performed often, and perhaps even filmed (I see no reason why an indie filmmaker couldn't make a good film of this musical... if Last 5 Years became a film, this can). I'm always grateful when the entire show ends up being recorded. CAROLINE OR CHANGE, for example, being almost entirely sung-through, is, I believe, captured in its entirety on the cast album. As is DESSA ROSE, another recent album. (I love Dessa Rose, but I don't think it's nearly on the level of Caroline). I believe BERNARDA ALBA is also recorded in its entirety as it is also, if I recall, mostly sung through.
