Measure for Measure Fiasco Theater today

Posted by: lowwriter 08:46 pm EDT 03/16/14

I've seen two other good productions of Measure for Measure in the past few years but the Fiasco Theater production was exceptional relying on six actors and a set of doorways. This is the first production I've seen in which the plot was fairly easy to follow and the humor was mined expertly. I hope some other New York theater picks this up so more people can see it. This troupe knows how to breathe life into difficult plays and they make the Elizabethan language sound natural.

Also I loved my orchestra seat at the New Victory for $43. I could see and hear perfectly and I was on the far house left if the theater.

This and A Doll's House at BAM were the best play productions I've seen so far this year.
