I am surprised to hear this-
I saw BA's performances in She Loves Me
and Present Laughter at Boston's Huntington Theatre and found him invested in every moment (Present Laughter was 2007, She Love Me, a year or two later

what's been your experience?

I'm vouching for him in She Loves Me as well - he seemed more than fine to me all the way through the show. (And Kate Baldwin was a marvelous Amalia.)
