MADONNA/BLONDIE MUSICAL DISASTER DISSECTION

"DESPERATELY SEEKING THE EXIT"

Plays Final NYC Shows March 22 & 23 at 8PM

"Like SMASH on speed. Relentlessly rapid-fire." -- Fringe Review (AU)
"Both funny and horribly revealing." -- The Times (UK)

After acclaimed runs in the UK and Australia, writer/performer Peter Michael Marino bids farewell to NYC with the comical autopsy on his $6 million West End "Desperately Seeking Susan" musical fiasco in DESPERATELY SEEKING THE EXIT. Directed by Obie Award winner John Clancy, this limited engagement will be performed Saturday & Sunday, March 22 & 23 at The Triple Crown Underground.

"Highly entertaining. A salutary lesson to anyone looking to the stage for fame, fortune and happiness." -- British Theatre Guide
"Fast-paced fun and engrossing… a simply uplifting and completely engrossing tribute to the human spirit." -- The List, Edinburgh

In 2007, American playwright Peter Michael Marino wrote a musical based on the film “Desperately Seeking Susan” featuring the music of Blondie. It opened on London’s West End…and closed a month later. DESPERATELY SEEKING THE EXIT offers a behind-the-scenes peek at how this $6 million musical was made and unmade: hatching the idea, deals with MGM, Debbie Harry and even Madonna; the workshops, the previews, the scathing reviews, closing night and beyond.

Saturday and Sunday, March 22 & 23 at 8pm.
The Triple Crown Underground
330 7th Ave at 28th St.
