| I haven't seen every eligible show (and some aren't even in previews yet), but I can't imagine anyone beating Inglehart for the Tony as best featured actor in a musical. | |

| I think his chances are very good, but- Jarrod Spector is quite good in Beautiful Dule Hill is fronting a well-received revue and shows he can still dance in After Midnight Violet hadn't started yet, but Joshua Henry has proven to have a wonderful voice and will be playing a role that saw nominations for its originator Michael McElroy off-Broadway Anthony Rapp is making an impression on many in If/Then Danny Burstein, nearly always terrific, has yet to start performances in Cabaret ...so I think that category is competitive and not a sure lock yet for anyone. | |

| I thought Anthony Rapp was dull in If/Then. I'm predicting Inglehart will win based on what I've seen of him (I'm yet to see the actual show) and heard of him. | |

| Sorry to be pedantic (but because it's a common mistake), his name is Iglehart - no N. | |

| I thought...many aspects of If/Then were dull, but that opinion seems pretty split amongst people I've talked with so I thought for the sake of illustrating it's a competitive year for featured actors I would include him. I would personally rather see James Snyder nominated from that show, and his song got the second best hand of the night when I saw it. But I wasn't sure if the producers would attempt to have him eligible for lead. Inglehart does have to deal with living in the shadow of a very distinct and remembered vocal performance from the film, playing a part in a show that very much resembles the cartoon it is based upon, and is already showing some signs of being tired. I really blame that last one in no way on him, the choreography asks a LOT of him and there really should be another rest section built into the middle of Friend Like Me. He makes it through it, and the crowd loves him for it, but his vocals do suffer from what he would be capable of were he allowed to catch his breath more often. | |

| I'm not surprised to see that Iglehart is getting so much Tony buzz as the Genie. (It was the flashiest role in the movie, too.) But Iglehart also wowed the crowds at ''Memphis,'' with his number, ''Big Love.'' And for a guy his size, he moves incredibly well, and even did a somersault. Iglehart's just a winning performer, and I'm glad he's getting his due. I also hear great things about James Snyder as the boyfriend in ''If/Then'' and Nick Cordero as the hitman in ''Bullets.'' | |

| Cordero, Burstein and Iglehart seem like the three most likely contenders. I'll see Cabaret on Friday. That said, I would love for Iglehart to win. He was dynamite-I just couldn't stop watching him and he really had me and that audience in the palm of his hand. James Snyder didn't do much for me (but then again, neither did the show). I didn't notice him. (Anthony Rapp was the male actor I noticed the most.) It may be Burstein's year-but I'd sure love to see Iglehart end Disney's winless streak for acting Tonys-he really is incredible. | |

| I very much enjoyed Jarrod Spector's performance in BEAUTIFUL. I think he has a chance (but I haven't seen ALADDIN yet). | |

| I haven't seen Aladdin yet either but I agree that Jarrod Spector's performance should not be overlooked. There were a lot of layers to his portrayal -- he makes a very complex character understandable and even sympathetic. I also was very impressed with Dule Hill in After Midnight. | |
