I've never actually asked Tommy Krasker the question you are inquiring about but I do know two other guys who own prominent record labels in the soundtrack and/or cast album business. Both have told me that a sale is a sale, go for the best price you can find, the key thing is that they are moving inventory. They all realize that by using distributors like Amazon the profit is less per unit but they have to do it because Amazon's distribution reach is so great.
