Are the prices really that high?

Are the prices really that high? And even if there was a slight increase on the Sampler package, how, pray tell, does one step up quality (increase set design budgets, hire Equity actors) without more money? One thing I found notable about their season was the ambition of the season. OTHER DESERT CITIES and STAGE BEAUTY, especially, are shows that come with mandated high production values. (As for the nudity, I can't even believe I have to say this, but for that theatre to survive and grow audiences, they have to become something more than naked boys. All power to them!)
