REVIVALS CONSIDERED NEW FOR AWARDS?

Posted by: dixchot 08:37 am EDT 03/28/14

Have heard that Lady Day, Cripple of Inishmaan, Violet, and Hedvig may wish to be considered as new works for the Tony Awards, as they've never been on Broadway.
What do you think of this possibility. It would open up the Best Score and Book of a Musical category and the Best Play category, though Inishmaan has had two productions off-Broadway and Lady Day moved from one theatre to another.
