Heathers vs Heathers. Heathers wins.

After coming home having seen the vulgar and not funny musical HEATHERS, i re-watched the film.

The musical has (for the worse) changed everything good about the story, changed character intentions, changed everything - into a vulgar farrago made for people who can get bar service at their seats.

My two favorite lyrics were 'Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful etc' and 'candy story candy store candy store candy store candy store candy store candy store etc'.

I will say no more except that Mr Flickman's direction seems to ask performers to stand around doing nothing most of the time. Maybe as most prominently a film.tc director, he doesnt think the ca.mera can see them.

Disappointing as I thought the deliciously wicked film Heathers could make a fun musical. IMHO this is not it.

Oh - if you watch the film, look at the sexy young Christian Slater in his sexy black coat.

Then go to the musical and see the actor playing JD wearing what looks like an off the rack London Fog raincoat.

The musical is to the film what the raincoat is to the coat in the film.
