The aggregate producer/investor split is essentially equal (subject to modest variation based on royalty pool). Averages are quite misleading for a variety of reasons. The definition of gross changed about halfway, but certainly grosses have increased in absolute terms because of inflation, but we have no way of knowing how expenses have changed (and, even though we like to pretend here that they don't, they definitely do, and sometimes in both directions). There are a lot of hands in the royalty pot on this show and we do not know precisely how much that is knocking the gross down. But in general, if the investors are getting $300k avg, the producers are getting $600k avg, to which you add the weekly expenses, royalties and other charges. That would need to reach roughly $1.5mil avg (although, as I say, avgs are misleading sometimes and the reported gross was net for half the run of the show). So in rough terms, this is saying that somewhere around $900k is being spent on a combination of expenses, royalties and other payments. This is a very quick and rough sketch.
