Non-lyric changes to Les Mis

Posted by: charles1055 01:40 pm EDT 03/28/14

I know people are discussing lyrics below, but I went this week and was wondering about a number semi-lewd moments that I don't remember from the original.

I'm wondering if some of these are changes made in recent years or if I just didn't notice these as a kid in the 90s when I saw the original production. (Which is totally possible)

-Gavroche giving the finger to Javert

-The prostitutes simulating sex with the sailors in the background during Lovely Ladies

-The Thénardiers being so sexual, at one point in this production she lifted her skirt and he went for it at the blackout.

Finally, not lewd but I thought "Bring Him Home" was sung as Valjean was carrying Marius through the sewers, but in this production he sang it at the barricade.
