this is one of those instances where the word of mouth i'm hearing from friends is completely at odds with what i'm seeing here. my friends seem to love it. we have tickets in a couple of weeks so i'll see for myself. i remember liking the movie but i don't have any kind of emotional investment in it. i don't know whether that will help or hinder.
