But those aren't the French lyrics on the original recording -- the "concept album," if you will. Those are the lyrics to which I was referring.

The original version begins,

"J'avais rêvé d'une autre vie
Mais la vie a tué ma rêve
Comme on étouffe les derniers cris
D'un animal que l'on achève
J'avais rêvé d'un coeur si grand
Que le mien puisse y trouver place
Mais mon premier prince charmant
Fut l'assassin de mon enfance

Which roughly translated means,

"I had dreamed of another life,
But life has killed my dream.
As one smothers the final cries
Of an animal that one has killed.
I had dreamed of a heart so big
That my own could find a place within it,
But my first prince charming
Was the assassin of my youth."

The original French version doesn't have any reference to wolves (or tigers).
