Craving a show after the show? 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, is expanding its popular late-night series with fresh faces and hot new performances to keep the party buzzing into the wee hours. Located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th St., 54 BELOW welcomes you to loosen your tie and embrace the night at its upcoming events: ZI ALIKHAN, March 31 at 11:30PM: #LOOKING is about the crazy, exciting, IBS-inducing world of being gay in your twenties, looking for love in New York City. Drawing from artists as varied as Betty Who, Cole Porter, and (duh) Taylor Swift, Zi Alikhan weaves together first loves, first subway tears, and first Tinder dates in a night that sets out to explore the shitstorm of a path that is #LOOKING for something more in NYC. Featuring the disgusting talent of Emily Cramer, Hannah Shankman, and Hannah Whitney, this is a night for which you'll want to skip Drag Race. $10 cover charge. $20 food & beverage minimum or two drink minimum. PUPPY LOVE: AN ASPCA BENEFIT WITH CHONDRA PROFIT AND MORE, April 2 at 11:30PM: Broadway artists, recording artists, fashion models and more come together for Puppy Love at 54 Below. All proceeds are being donated to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-after all, we are their voice. Scheduled to appear are: Heather Parcells (A Chorus Line revival, Wonderland), Chondra Profit (Disney's The Lion King), Rachel Lorin Filsoof (recording artist and star of Oxygen Network's "The Next Big Thing"), Brian Craft (Avenue Q, Let My People Come), Brandon Yanez (recording artist and ABC's "One Life to Live"), Brian Detlefs (Trails the Musical), Brooke Humphrey (Theatre Under The Stars, NYC Couture Fashion Week), Kimberly Abrams (Cabaret), John Ryan Del Bosque (Let My People Come), Matthew Pritchard (The Spazmatics), Devin Compton (Discovery ID's "Obsession"), Bryan Austermann (NYU Tisch - New Studio on Broadway), Brianna Galligan (Enchanté Cabaret), Gavin Rohrer (Let My People Come). LYRICLION, April 3 at 11:30PM: LyricLion is an ensemble of seven top musicians currently studying at Columbia and Juilliard. The group accompanies singer-songwriters in new arrangements of their songs with the unique instrumentation of flute, bassoon, french horn and strings. They have been praised for their "astute musical taste" and their blend of classical and pop has been described as a "truly inspiring result" (Huffington Post). Featuring performances and songs by Sarah Dooley, Sally Eidman, Olivia Harris, Kailey Marshall, Katy Rea, Taylor Simone, David Alan Thorton, Niko Tsakalatos and Zack Zadek. Plus songs from new musicals by Aaron Albert/Katy Rea, Solomon Hoffman/Nick Parker, Ryan Scott Oliver and Zoe Sarnak performed by Sarah Hunt, Rebekah Lowin, Taylor Noble, Emily Rogers and Andrea Ross. $10 cover charge. $20 food & beverage minimum or two drink minimum. MARCUS PAUL JAMES, April 5 at 11PM: Broadway actor, singer and songwriter Marcus Paul James brings a night of R&B to the 54 Below stage in his show Love and Soul. With Brian Whitted leading the band, Marcus turns the stage into a soulfest with a mix of Broadway, covers and original tunes - out to prove that the modern-day balladeers and crooners are still alive and well. Marcus was last seen in the off-Broadway revival of Rent, where he reprised his role of Mr. Jefferson and "Seasons of Love" soloist. Before that, he was a part of the Broadway closing casts of the Tony Award-winning shows In the Heights and Rent, as well the movie Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway. Marcus has released two albums of his own music, as well as been featured on multiple up-and-coming composer albums, including Scott Alan and Bobby Cronin. "Marcus' music is able to break the barrier and rise to the top of the music heap. Upon listening to Marcus sing, you'll notice that he's a bit fresh and old-school at the same time.
