I've seen Moreno interviewed where she is critical of Wand's accent -- "who'd keel your bruuhhthurrr!" -- as sounding Mexican and not Puerto Rican. She also laughs that so hazy was the general perception of what Puerto Ricans even looked like that the studio slapped the same brown make-up on all the men and made them all look Mexican.
